New Software Research Program For MARC

A recent announcement from Intel Corp. has published that the company has launched a very useful and important software research program under the MARC (many-core applications research community) initiative. It is hoped that the new software research program will be among the next generation of software that will be released. Intel Corp, who originally intended the programs to be built for Intel 48-core single chip cloud computer, has been now used under the MARC program where a range of academics and industry researchers will be able to use the program.
MARC program has over 50 research projects from 38 institutions internationally, 20 of which are located in Europe. The initiative is run by Sebastian Steibl, who is the head of Intel Labs Braunschweig.
